BREIF 2: Material Model

Mills uses a wide range of unrefined line in his work, particularly in his portraits, animations and graphics. my model employs this distinctive style using heat set plastic meshing. The material of the model cast a shadow of a shape filled with squiggly lines. this ‘shadow drawing’ can change depending on the direction and the intensity of the light. This model is mainly inspired by Mills’ animation History Of Love http://vimeo.com/25200496

BREIF 2: Mechanism

COGNITION is a hand bound, hand size booklet which Mills can use to gather other people’s trains of though and a visual expression of it.

The booklet is inspired by cognitive Therapy. Mills would hand these out to people. the person must make an entry every time they have a negative thought. Mills collects them and archives them for inspiration and designs.

one side is thicker GSM paper to allow a drawing or illustration and the opposite side is lined paper for the person to write what was the emotion the felt and what were the thoughts in the lead up to the emotion.
